MOLTKES PALÆ

THE GREEN CHAMBERS GRØNNE SALON

The Green Chambers is located on the first floor of Moltke’s Palace, with windows facing Bredgade. It adjoins the Venezia Chambers and the Dronninggaard Chambers.

Considered by many to be the palace’s most romantic space, the Green Chambers is eminently suited to smaller wedding receptions and celebrations as well as small meetings.

The Green Chambers are the most regal rooms in the vicinity of Moltke’s Palace. When Christiansborg Palace was destroyed by fire in 1794, Queen Dowager Juliane Marie purchased Moltke’s Palace as her temporary home, and the Green Chambers was used by its royal inhabitant as a drawing room and living space.

The walls of the Green Chambers showcase Erik Paulsen’s paintings of the Hermitage Palace and the Sound. The stunning first impression of the room is provided by its matching pair of grand Empire crystal chandeliers, the opulent wall sconces, large mirrors and gilded walls, ceiling and stucco. The Green Chambers features its own permanent furnishings and exquisite parquet flooring.
