THE PALACE WINES

Excellent food calls for quality wines to match. Moltke’s Palace offers five different wine series, all of which belong to the ”good house wine” category. The wines have been selected with an eye to pleasing a wide spectrum of tastes, and they are certain to satisfy all guests. 


We are also happy to customise our wine series to feature wines of your choice, and you are welcome to choose wines from more than one series. For suggestions or an estimate, contact Moltke’s Palace.

Moltke’s Palace french wines

Chardonnay Beauvignac, Cave les Costières de Pomerols
- Rich gold colour with golden hues. Floral and peach aromas balanced by a strong flavour that is both soft and harmonious, featuring distinctive fruit nuances. 
 
Côtes du Roussillon, Mas las Cabes, Domaine Gardiés
- A full-bodied red wine with a rich finish, powerful fragrance of fruit and fine tannins. A blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan from Lanquedoc-Roussillon. A perfect match with heavy main courses.
 
Muscat des Rivesaltes, Domaine Gardiés, Roussillon
- Golden, sweet white wine with a lovely elderflower nose and a touch of citrus. A blend of 70% Muscat Petits Grains and 30% Muscat d’Alexandrie grapes, the wine is aged in small wooden casks left in the open air. Suitable for pairing with desserts with some acidity or with light cheeses.

  

Moltke's Palace italian wines

Soave, Corte Paradiso, Marco Mosconi

- Mature, dry white wine with notes of almonds and fresh fruit. Made from 100% garganega and aged in steel tanks for six months. Delightful on its own or served with light dishes like fish or salad.


Barbera d'Alba, Sergio Cerrino, Piemonte
- Dark Ruby red wine stored in oak barrels. Full bodied with fruit and notes of warm spices and taste of blackberries and dark summer berries. Serve along with red meat, pasta or stews.


Moscato d’Asti D.O.C.G.
- Straw yellow, mature, delicate and refreshing Moscato d’Asti with amazing notes of jasmine and a light touch of sage and other herbs. Good on its own or with desserts or cakes featuring hazelnuts, pies, or fruit salad.

  

Moltke’s Palace american wines

Estrada Creek Winery Chardonnay, Lodi, California
- This wine has a crisp acidity and intense tropical fruit that hallmarks the region from which it is grown. Clean toasty notes of oak and vanilla lead to a lively finish with a hint of lime, passion fruit and green apples. A perfect serve along with a variety of fish, salads, seafood and poultry.


Estrada Creek Winery Cabernet Sauvignon, Lodi, California

- This Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from Lodi vineyards and selected for its intense fruit quality and firm tannins. The wine is aged in small oak barrels for 12 months, adding richness and complexity. Estrada Creek Cabernet Sauvignon is deep ruby in color with a focused currant, blackberry and cracked pepper spice. The wine finishes with a sweet smoke and a hint of vanilla. A perfect serve along with red meat, game, grilled poultry and veal. 
 
Late Harvest White Riesling, Kiona Vineyards and Winery (Washington State)
- Deep golden wine boasting elegant, fresh sweetness and a hint of acidity. Complex aromas of lemon, citrus, flowers, apricots and peaches. Excellent with fruit-based desserts.


Moltke’s Palace innovative wines

Ca N’Estruc, Cataluñya (Spain)
- Crisp, light gold and mature white wine with delicate citrus undertones and a pleasing finish. A blend of 70% Xarel-lo, 15% Macabeo and 15% Chardonnay grapes. Suitable for pairing with lighter dishes as well as for drinking as an aperitif.
 
Domaine Cabanis, Costières de Nîmes, Rhône, (Agriculture Biologique, France)
- Mature, medium full-bodied red wine with lovely cherry fruit and a touch of pepper. Oak barrel aging is apparent in the long finish. A blend of organic Grenache, Carignan, Syrah and Mourvèdre grapes. 
Suitable for pairing with light meals, fried fish, poultry, white meats and grilled dishes.
 
Tawny Port, Casa de Santa Eufêmia (Portugal)
- Mature, dark red port with wonderful fruit flavours and a hint of cherry stone with a long, rich finish. A blend of the classic grape varietals aged in wood barrels. Goes well with cheeses, light desserts and chocolate. 

 

Moltkes Palace 'House Wines'

Saint-Peyre Chardonnay, Cave les Costières de Pomerols (France)

- Classic and full bodied Chardonnay produced of fully ripened grapes. The vines grow on terraces of clay and limestones which gives the wine a fresh mineral taste.

Serve with shellfish, salads or fish courses.


Les Grands Chemins, Carignan Vieilles Vignes (France)

- Dark red and generous full bodied wine with a touch of fresh oak. The wines is produced of Carignan grapes from old vines which gives the wine a velvet touch. Serve with red meat and rich courses.
